Baltimore natives, Have Mercy, premiered a song new song on Alternative Press’ website today. The promising single titled, “This Old Ark,” will be found on their upcoming debut album, The Earth Pushed Back, due out on May 21st through Topshelf Records.

Yes, you read that right – a dodgeball tournament with some of your favorite bands. We Are the In Crowd, Make Do and Mend, I Call Fives, Fireworks, and Chunk! No Captain Chunk will all be participating in a dodgeball invitational on July 23rd. This will take place at the Kendrick Rec Center on 5800 Ridge Ave, in Manayunk, Pennsylvania. It’s free of charge and open to all fans, so get out there if you can – it’s gonna be awesome!
There will also be an after party at the Cactus Restaurant and Bar (21+) on 4243 Main Street, Manayunk, Pennsylvania.
William Beckett of The Academy Is… took to Tumblr to announce the review of his new EP, “Winds Will Change,” by Alternative Press. The review is incredibly positive, giving Beckett four out of five stars. The article paints a perfect portrait of the EP, and will have any music lover—fan or not—racing to download the new jams, available on Amazon.

Sleeping With Sirens has released a music video for “Do It Now Remember, It Later.” This song is off of the band’s last album, Let’s Cheers To This, which was released last May. The music video has a much more interesting story than many other videos being released right now and is incredibly well done, definitely worth a watch.
Sleeping With Sirens has recently been marked as one of Alternative Press’s ’100 Bands To Know In 2012′ and already has a full touring schedule for 2012. The band will soon be embarking on a headlining spring U.S. tour, followed by a summer on Warped Tour.
Never Shout Never announced via their official website that a North American tour would begin starting 4/2o in Austin, Texas.

The contest can be entered at the band’s official website and ends on March 4th. Any acoustic band or artist can enter (no fully plugged bands will be considered) and 3-4 finalists will be chosen and Alternative Press will hold a vote for each tour date. Good luck!
Surfing around for a topic for tonight’s post, I found this article (link here) on Alternative Press about the year’s most played songs.
