Yes, Ed Sheeran has confirmed that he will be playing the closing ceremony at the 2012 Olympics in London!

The British up-and-comer was delighted to confirm the rumors in a live interview with Brisbane’s radio station, Nova 106.9.  He did, however, clarify that he would be playing with legendary band Pink Floyd, and not the rumored alternate, The Who.

The closing ceremony will be held August 12th, and I can’t think of a better way to wrap things up!
