This Providence has announced that they will be releasing a four-song EP next month. The EP will be produced by Matt Grabe who has worked with band such as The Maine, The Summer Set and A Rocket To The Moon. This will be the band’s first release since their 2009 album, Who Are You Now?.
It has also been stated that the band has been writing and recording new music, and that a fourth full-length album is in the works. The band spent several days in November of last year in the studio in Los Angeles working on this material.
This Providence will be joining Go Radio along with Ivory Lights, Simple As Surgery and Tyler Carter this spring in a full U.S. tour spanning from March 20th to May 13th.
It seems like the band has been out of touch throughout the last year or so but with multiple plans for new music, it’s apparent that This Providence is back and ready to pick up where they left off.
You Me At Six has released a new song titled “The Swarm,” however, it wasn’t released for a reason that you would expect. The track was recorded specifically for Thorpe Park’s new roller coaster under the same name. The coaster will be introduced to the park in the spring of this year and boasts the title of the UK’s first winged roller coaster. You Me At Six have been fans of the park since they were teenagers, which prompted the band to record the single in promotion of the ride. The song aims to match the intensity and thrill of the ride and will be available for purchase on iTunes on March 18th.
